Privacy policy

Last updated 2026-11-07. Rekindle is made by Publisher's legal name: to be added before launch ("we").

What we collect

• Account: a random install id made by the app (not your phone's hardware id), your player id, the name you pick, and your game progress.
• Age and country: the age range you choose at first launch, and your country from the App Store or Google Play (or your phone's region if the store doesn't tell us). We use them to apply the rules for your age and country.
• Chat: messages you send in alliance chat, reports you make or that are made about you, blocks, and any moderation action.
• Purchases: the store's transaction id, what you bought, the price, the store country, and whether it was refunded. Payment details stay with Apple or Google; we never see your card.
• Technical: server logs (including your IP address) and crash reports, to run and protect the game.
• Waitlist: if you joined the waitlist on this site, your email and the ad or page that brought you here.

Why we use it

• To run the game and your account, and to keep your progress.
• To keep chat safe: filtering, reports, blocks, mutes and bans.
• To process purchases and refunds, stop fraud, and keep records the law asks for.
• To apply age and country rules (for example, no paid random items where they are not allowed, and limited mode for players under 13).
• To tell waitlist sign-ups about the launch.

We do not sell your data. We do not show third-party ads. Legal basis for each use (EU/UK) and any analytics or attribution tools: to be added before launch

AI players

Some cities in the game are run by AI. They are always labelled "(AI)". Messages from AI players are written by AI. Whether any player text is sent to an AI provider, and how you agree to it: to be added before launch

Who else sees it

• Other players see your name, city, alliance, power and chat messages.
• Service providers who host and run the game for us: List of providers (hosting, crash reporting, AI chat) and where data is stored: to be added before launch
• Apple and Google, for purchases and refunds.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

Children

Rekindle is not made for children under 13. If you tell us you are under 13, the game runs in a limited mode: no chat and no purchases. Parental contact and consent process: to be added before launch

How long we keep it

Your account data stays until you delete your account. When you do, we delete your name, chat messages, blocks, scores and game progress. We keep the purchase records and the log of paid random draws, linked only to a random player id, for Retention period (tax, fraud and refund rules): to be added before launch. Server logs are kept for Log retention period: to be added before launch.

Your choices and rights

• Delete your account in the game (Profile, Settings, Delete account) or on our deletion page.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by writing to Support email: to be added before launch.
• Block any player, and set a spending limit, in the game.
